GOT WELDING? GRAB A BUDDY.
This is one of my favorite items to use when I am welding. I refer
to it as a welding buddy because every time I ask someone to hold
something while I tack or weld it, no one wants to do it.
I made it so the height is higher than my welding table. Since
the vise swivels 360 degrees, it can be used to hold a longer piece
in place while the other end is welded to another piece mounted to
the welding table. Because it is completely bare steel, the ground
clamp can be placed anywhere.
I designed it so it is nicely balanced and flips easily between
table surfaces and on wheels so it is easily moved. It is also very
nice for welding small items held together in the vise during TIG.
